The Pontifical Athenaeum DVK is pleased to offer a five-day intensive workshop on Research Informatics: Referencing for Quality Research, designed to enhance scholarly research skills through hands-on training and guided practice.

1. Hands-on Training Sessions on:
Referencing using Zotero, I Retrieval techniques from exhaustive collections, I Advanced searching in academic databases, I Ethical use of AI tools for academic research.

3. Access to Vast Library Collections (Print and Digital)
3.1 Print Collections
a) Exclusive Print Collections in: Theology, Philosophy, Canon Law, Formative Spirituality & Psychology
b) Special Collections: Rare and fundamental source books
c) Periodicals Collection: One of the largest collections of periodicals I Millions of indexed articles are searchable through the OPAC
3.2 Digital Resources:
Access to and download of millions of digital documents from I Ecclesiastical and Social Science Databases

Eligibility & Participation

  • Eligibility: The programme is open to Ecclesiastical Scholars, including: PhD/Research beginners | Licentiate and Master’s students (after completion of one year).
  • How to Participate: All participants are requested to complete the registration formalities by 25 April 2026.
  • Preparation: Participants are requested to come prepared with a clear scheme of their research paper and a well-defined idea for an article or academic writing.
  • Required Gadgets: Laptop | Smartphone (for scanning purposes).

Tentative Programme Schedule

  • The programme runs for five full days.
  • The library will remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (except Sunday).
  • The first four days will have two interactive sessions with guided research exercises.
  • Remaining hours allotted for independent research and referencing.
  • Participants will have the opportunity to work directly on their academic research targets.
